OUR YURTS

The Canvas and Cast yurts have been specifically designed for use in the UK. They are constructed using traditional Mongolian craftsman and techniques . Using carefully sourced quality canvas and timber. The handcrafted roof wheel, wooden roof poles and khana lattice walls are made from sustainable coppiced willow. The wall pieces are joined using camel hide ties .
The coverings are made from a heavy duty 24oz off-white canvas which has been weatherproofed to deal with the wetter European climate. It has been specially treated to be flame/weather/mildew proof.

 Our yurts offer excellent quality in addition to excellent value for money.

We offer a choice of traditional Mongolian style or a plain off-white yurt with large round windows. All yurts have a wooden door and luxury groundsheet/carpet as standard. The yurts are available in four different sizes; 2.8m, 3.6m, 4.2m and 5m. The 2.8m comes with 'The Pipsqueak Stove' and flue kit included in the price.

The price of a Canvas and Cast yurt has no hidden extras such as additional costs for windows and doors. The full kit comes complete with everything you need. The Canvas and Cast range of yurts provide the perfect soul pad.
We can deliver and erect your yurt with you or for you within a 200 mile radius of Exeter and for this we charge £150 (Delivery and erection). Orders dispatched via mainland courier will be charged on a quotation basis but a 2.8m yurt normally costs around £75. Please contact us to discuss any details relating to the specifications of any of the yurts or for a delivery quote.

Canvas and Cast import our own specially designed yurts direct from Mongolia consequently supply can not always keep up with demand. We are busy at most times of the year meeting special requirements for corporate customers and hire contracts, however we are obviously much busier as the summer approaches and as the days begin to lengthen and warm. We therefore recommend you pre-order by payment of a 15% deposit or order your yurt as soon as practicable to avoid disappointment or a fairly long wait for another consignment to arrive in the UK. We operate a strict first come first served basis.

We are sure that you will fall in love with your Canvas and cast yurt and want to spend as much time as possible using it. Whilst every effort has been made to protect the canvas from the elements if sited in a poor or damp location the canvas may deteriorate at an accelerated rate and we therefore recommend good canvas ‘housekeeping’ and maintenance if you are to promote longevity.

All the yurts come complete with instructions on assembly in addition to care and maintenance advice. In conjunction with the lattice walls and canvas each of the Canvas and Cast yurts is equipped with three tensioning bands made from woven nylon banding. . One is tied to the middle when assembling the lattice walls with two outer bands to secure the canvas. Handcrafted wooden guy lines and heavy duty rope guy lines, rubber mallet and heavy duty galvanised steel ground pegs are included, and ensure the yurt stays firmly anchored on the breeziest of days.
