What is the tent made of?
All the canvas and cast yurts and bell tents are made using the heaviest practicable canvas weight. Most bell tents use 265g canvas which is fine if you only intend to use the tent for two weeks in the summer. Our tents use 350g weight canvas that is both harder wearing and has a much longer lifespan. Our tents can withstand being pitched for long periods due to this heavier canvas. Excellent waterproofing and mildew resistance treatment given to our heavier canvas results in a bell tent that should see many long years of use.

What is the difference between a Canvas & Cast Yurt, and a Yurt from elsewhere?
The Canvas and Cast yurts are tailor made to our own high specifications. The renewably sourced willow khana walls are steam bent and tied using traditional camel hide ties. Included with every yurt is a handmade willow roof wheel, 350g canvas covers with integral large round windows, handmade yurt door and frame, willow roof poles and khana walls, sisal rope/canvas tensioning bands, luxury 500g green canvas groundsheet backed with green rubberised waterproof pvc. The yurt roof cap also has a clear window to allow maximum light to flood the yurt.

I have a Yurt, How do I kit it out?
Everything you need from yurt stoves to felt yurt liners or lanterns to illuminate your yurt at night can be ordered at a discounted rate to accompany your yurt order.

I want a Yurt in a different size, colour or amount of doors, what do I do?
We are also happy to acommodate bespoke yurts made to your exact specifications. Yurts with additional doors that attach to smaller yurts, 10m+ yurts and coloured canvas yurts can all be commissioned. Our aim is to supply the highest quality of yurts at a price you can afford. There are no hidden extra costs in our yurt packages.

What choice do I have in Bell Tent size?
Canvas and cast offer a range of traditional bell tents. The smallest bell tent we supply is the 3m diameter bell tent. This bell tent comes complete with the same high specifation components enjoyed by the larger models but in a cuter package. This bell tent has 350g waterproof flame retardent canvas and comes complete with a heavyweight green groundsheet. The tent is supplied in a smart matching off-white canvas carrying bag. The contents can be split if required as the tent poles and tent pegs come in their own seperate canvas bags. The most popular sized bell tent is the 4m diameter model. This is a tent that is truly family sized. We also offer a large 5m diameter bell tent which comes complete with the same durable components and 350g canvas.

What is the difference between a Canvas & Cast Bell Tent, and a Bell Tents from elsewhere?
Our traditional bell tent has been engineered to outlast and out perform our rivals.
Using the heavier 350g canvas gives the tent a real feeling of quality.
The heavyweight groundsheet which attachs to the tent walls to ensure a waterproofed camping experience can also be unattached to allow the sides of the bell tent to roll up. This is a real advantage with the 'bell tent' design using a single pole and tension consequently bell tents with sewn in groundsheets are a mystery to us!.
We advise against choosing any bell tent that dosn't have rope and wooden guy lines or heavyweight 12mm guage tent pegs as they are crucial if the tent is to be pitched correctly. A snapped guy line or bent tent peg would severly compromise the pitching of any bell tent.
Canvas and cast have endeavoured to engineer all the bell tent components including, tent poles, tent pegs, guy lines, groundsheet and canvas to be as durable as possible. The 4m diameter bell tent has an additional bedroom compartment inner tent and porch which can be added to your bell tent if required.

Yes, all the Canvas and Cast bell tents, TP's and yurts are manufactured using heavy 350g weight waterproofed and flameproofed canvas.

Yes The tent and stove flue kit comes complete with Pipsqueak stove in a finish of your choice.
