New in 2008 not only will you be able to come and inspect our tents and yurts you will also have the opportunity to ‘try before you buy’. We are now able to offer tent and yurt short-breaks and holidays down in Devon. The 2 acre site is an old cut flower nursery and boasts lovely views and sunsets over Dartmoor. Ideally situated , ‘Ogwellia’ is only 15 minutes in the other direction to the sea. Popular South Devon towns such as Dartmouth, Ashburton, Torbay and the cities of Exeter and Plymouth are within easy reach. The old Nursery is a tranquil corner of rural Devon . My children named it Ogwellia and we are sure that because it is such a magical place, fairies must live down by the pond somewhere. We share the space and peace with chickens, guinea pigs and a wide range of local visitors both furry and feathered. There is also a large greenhouse which has been planted with salvias and other nocturnally flowering shrubs which encourage a wide range of moths to visit in the evenings . The moths in turn encourage the small number of bats. We would love you to come and stay and would do our utmost to make you feel as welcome and as comfortable as possible. You will have the opportunity to book a stay in a well appointed 5m yurt and accompanying pair of 4m bell tents. Or camp more humbly, by simply booking a night in a bell tent.
